Cimetière de Gassin

The cemetery of Gassin has been located at the northern entrance to the village since 1881, succeeding the two cemeteries in the village. At the end of the hill which shelters the village, the peaceful view extends over the plain and to the sea. It shelters the bodies of personalities.

Suffren, who was a remarkable tactician and intrepid fighter, remains one of history's most important naval figures, alongside Nelson and Ruyter. He was, in fact, nicknamed "Admiral Satan" by the English.

Tour du fort

This tower is the last remnant of the primitive medieval fort of Gassin. Modest in size, it was created for the defense of this site chosen for its inaccessibility and its unobstructed view, to prevent Saracen raids and attacks by other lords.

Bergerie Magnetto

The Sheepfold Magnetto, which owes its name to the last shepherd who used the premises, was completely restored in 2011. It is a testimony to rural life in Gassin and in Provence.

The Palace of the Mermaids is one of a series of three Art Deco buildings built in 1929 by Henri Bret in Sainte-Maxime, Saint-Raphaël and Cannes, where architecture worked on the idea of the monumental angle, crowned by a pediment.

Place des Lices

Places des Lices is one of Saint-Tropez's must-visit sites. Located in the heart of the city, it's an important gathering place with numerous shops, bars, restaurants and its market, held on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Oratoire Minuty

The oratory of the Minuty district rises on the domain of the famous classified (crû classé) castle of Gassin. It is a simple oratory, surrounded by greenery and surrounded by ivy. It gave its name to a famous cuvée from the vineyard, the cuvée de l'Oratoire.

Medieval village of Gassin

The first mentions of the village date back to 1190 or 1234. The tower of the medieval castle which remains testifies to this past like the rue de la Tasco. The village subsequently expanded inside the castle courtyard and then into the suburbs.
