La Garde-Freinet
The museum features several exhibitions on the traditional trades of the Massif des Maures: chestnut growing, silkworm breeding and cork harvesting. There's also a room devoted to Fort Freinet.
A permanent exhibition on the archeological site of Fort Freinet and exhibitions on the traditions of the Maures region:- silkworm rearing or sericulture,
- cork oak, its bark and the manufacture of corks
- chestnut trees and chestnuts.
Numerous photographs, machines and videos illustrate these themes.

All year round from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 1 pm and between 2 pm and 5 pm.
Closed exceptionally on January 1st, Easter Monday, Feast of the Ascension, Whit Monday, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st, November 11th and December 25th.
