Saint-Tropez
Transplanted in 1776 to the Pré des Pêcheurs, then to its present location in 1815. It is one of the few marine cemeteries in France and offers an unrivalled view of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and the Baie des Canebiers.
This cemetery, built below the Citadelle in the late 18th century, faces the sea and offers an unrivalled view of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and the Baie des Canebiers.Surrounded by hydrangeas, tamarisks and canisses, you can stroll between the graves of celebrities past and present:
That of a Hindu princess, Bannou Pan Deï, wife of General Allard, who served King Singh and lived in Saint-Tropez until 1884. Her husband, who had returned to India, was buried in Lahore (Pakistan).
