Sainte Magdeleine Chapel

Historic site and monument

La Mole
The Sainte Magdeleine path: not to be missed. From the Church, take the Route des Guiols to the left of the Church, for 2.5 km. Take Chemin Sainte Magdeleine on the right. Arrive at the 4 paths (green cistern) turn left for 150 m then left again on a small path for 500 m through the oaks to the Chapel. Return by the Laïré track to reach the center of the village.
A must: arrive at La Chapelle, climb another 30 m to reach the rocks which will offer you an extraordinary view of La Mole and the Gulf of Saint Tropez. Perched at one end of the Plateau de Maravieille, the Castrum de Sainte Magdeleine, a former medieval village of La Mole, was built in the 14th century. in local basalt, volcanic rock, and very quickly abandoned. The dark color of its walls and the surrounding wild nature give it a mysterious, bewitching and magical atmosphere.
