The most spectacular strengthened village is unquestionably “the Fort Freinet” overhanging the village of the Guarding. You will discover the medieval site of Strong Freinet the vestiges of the walls of the houses of the castle of which allow to go back in time of the XIIth in the XVIth century, to find the former lifestyles of these first villagers. After a steep access road, you will penetrate at the heart of this particular, unusual housing environment, where houses are installed on a hillside under the protection of the seigneurial lodging house. The amateurs will appreciate the rustic character of places and will wonder of the importance of the realized work.
