22 dancers sweep the audience up in a wave of energy, joy, and irresistible movement.
Driven by choreographer Marco da Silva Ferreira, the Ballet National de Lorraine embraces collective euphoria in a dazzling piece that celebrates the power of a community in motion. It is an encounter that sets bodies ablaze to an infectious pop beat and unleashes a storm upon the stage!

Marco da Silva Ferreira possesses a unique gift for weaving Portuguese folk heritage into his contemporary choreography, showcasing the virtuosity of the Ballet National de Lorraine’s twenty-two dancers—a company masterfully led by Maud Le Pladec.

The work blends the academic precision of ballet and high technical skill with the liberating fervor of festive dance—specifically the *folia*, a 16th-century Portuguese fertility ritual performed by shepherds, here reimagined for the contemporary dance floor. With bodies in a trance, flashes of voguing and krump, collective energy, and unbridled joy, everything conspires to unleash an unrestrained vitality and contagious jubilation. The piece transforms into a unique "Baroque rave" where defiant bodies break free and let go, swept up in a wave of shared euphoria that bridges ecstasy and memory. Here, each dancer finds their own space and breath, all driven by the same life-affirming momentum.
