Sainte-Maxime
Saturday 25 April 2026 to 20h30
In an explosive, poetic and deeply respectful cabaret, a colorful troupe reinvents the world of Alain Bashung through a vibrant tribute blending extravagance, sensitivity and bold reinterpretations of his iconic songs.
Sixteen years after Alain Bashung's passing, Corinne, Brenda Moor, Patachtouille, and six musicians bring his work back to life in a wildly entertaining yet deeply respectful cabaret. From the song "Osez Joséphine" transposed to a saloon setting to the famous "Vertige de l'amour" performed on an inflatable mattress, his world is reinvented in a vibrant and explosive tableau! An initiatory journey into his transcendent universe.
The unforgettable memory of an Alain Bashung concert inspired Sébastien Vion, headliner of the renowned Parisian cabaret Madame Arthur, to create a show in his image. Powerful and poetic at the same time, his deeply personal tribute, reminiscent of a revue, covers the highlights of his career in a patchwork of famous and lesser-known tracks. All this is magnified by the hairstyles, costumes, jewelry, and other alluring accessories that the troupe adores, and enhanced by the riffs of guitarist Christophe Rodomisto, the virtuosity of Charly Voodoo's piano, and the vibrant presence of the Rainbow Symphonic Orchestra Quartet. Neither imitation nor pathos, the performance grips the nostalgic audience, who join in singing "La nuit je mens…" Behind the sequins, frills, and vertiginous heels of the performers, behind the extravagance of their unbridled creativity, lie sensitive souls who dream.
