The Ponche Cha Cha Cha brings the spirit of Saint-Tropez back to life: a friendly, spontaneous, and intergenerational celebration centered on the residents, local figures, and memories of the village. A return to the authentic Saint-Tropez celebrations of yesteryear.
In Saint-Tropez, certain memories capture the spirit of the village better than any grand celebration. They are nestled in the narrow streets of the historic district, with their sun-drenched facades and the scent of salt and sea spray, as well as in those evenings when locals and visitors would meet almost by chance, at the corner of a square or in front of a half-open door. It is from this living memory that La Ponche Cha Cha Cha was born—a celebration designed to rekindle the spontaneous encounters that once brought the heart of the village to life.

Before social media, digital invitations, and overloaded schedules, residents, shopkeepers, fishermen, artists, and visitors would naturally gather over a drink. A few tables set up in the street, voices rising, and laughter echoing from one alley to the next: that was all it took to bring together several generations, turn strangers into acquaintances, and neighbors into friends.

It is this memory of an authentic, lively, and down-to-earth Saint-Tropez that Olivier Le Quellec wanted to bring back to life. The goal was not simply to add another event to the local calendar, but to rediscover a simple and generous way to come together, share, and make the heart of the neighborhood beat again.

The first edition, held on May 9, 2026, brought this unique atmosphere back to life. Restaurant owners, shopkeepers, residents, and visitors gathered in a warm atmosphere, enjoying local specialties, sharing drinks, engaging in long conversations, and passing on memories.

Through this initiative, La Ponche Cha Cha Cha celebrates the village’s identity and the spirit of La Ponche: a place for encounters, for passing on traditions, and for camaraderie, where generations come together and where everyone can find their place.

More than just a gathering, this festival aims to remain true to the soul of the neighborhood, its history-steeped alleyways, and the traditions of sharing that have helped make Saint-Tropez a unique town.
