The Mediterranean, a fragile treasure to be discovered and preserved.
Workshops, activities and entertainment will punctuate this day to help us better understand the marine environment. In the evening, there will be a film screening.
A day to marvel, learn and take action together.
Village de la mer — 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm
- ‘Port-Cros National Park’ area: information stand with guides and ongoing activities.
- VR Headset Workshop — Neptune Projects (PNPC): a virtual immersion in the heart of Port-Cros National Park.
- ‘The Posidonia Wheel’ workshop (Budding Researchers): a fun workshop under the marquee. Spin the wheel: questions or mini-challenges.
- ‘Underwater Trail’ workshop: observing flora and fauna whilst snorkelling. Equipment: mask + snorkel; Lycra recommended. BOOKING REQUIRED (places strictly limited).
- Gulf of St Tropez Marine Protected Area stand: VR headsets, turtle and nest exhibition, information panels on the marine protected area.

Family & children’s workshops
- Clay workshop: creating sea creatures. BOOKING REQUIRED (places strictly limited)
- Little Explorers’ Corner: marine-themed colouring, storytelling and reading sessions.
- ‘Beach Treasures’ workshop: observing and sorting — shells, flotsam, seaweed, pebbles.

Evening event — film screening and discussion BY BOOKING ONLY
- 9.00 pm — Film screening under the eucalyptus trees: speeches by local councillors followed by a live scuba diving broadcast.
- Screening of Jérôme Espla’s film ‘Méditerranée’, followed by a discussion with Chris Trumann, vice-president of the Galathea Festival.
