Grimaud Music Evenings - Romain Bockler and the Concerto Soave ensemble
Grimaud Entertainment/recreation Concert
‘Venite, exultemus’ with Romain Bockler (baritone) and the Concerto Soave ensemble: Federica Basilico and Chalotte Gerbitz (violins), Flore Seube (viola da gamba), Ulrik Larsen (theorbo) and Jean-Marc Aymes (organ, harpsichord and conductor).
Friday 24 April between 6.30 pm and 8 pm.
A baroque music ensemble founded over 30 years ago, cultivating a unique poetic and sonorous spirit, Concerto Soave has performed at the world's greatest festivals. It boasts a rich discography, regularly acclaimed by international critics, which it pursues in a spirit of discovery and curiosity.
The ensemble is renewing its artistic approach, as reflected in its latest recording released by Ricercar in October 2025.
Concerto Soave will showcase early 18th-century French music with motets by André Campra and Nicolas Bernier, performed by the exceptional voice of baritone Romain Bockler, the ensemble's new co-artistic director. In the genre of the petit motet, and more particularly in the works chosen for this programme, the Italian taste is evident in a drama and intensity that is unusual in French sacred music.
Show supported by DRAC Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Arsud and the South Region.
Organised by the Grimaud Tourist Office.
