Bastille Day celebrations in Grimaud

A big 14th July celebration awaits you in Grimaud: a night market, ‘Patrimoine en scène’ and a grand open-air dance party… There’ll be something for everyone, whatever your age or taste!

Enjoy a festive evening combining revolutionary history with a guinguette party.
With a craft market, short theatre sketches, a food court and a dance concert, this evening promises a friendly, retro-chic atmosphere that will last until the early hours.

On the programme:

➡ From 6.00 pm to midnight: craft night market with over 30 stalls.

➡ 6.30 pm: Family-friendly open-air dance workshop on Place Neuve, led by Cie Artvivace.

➡ 6.30 pm to 9.00 pm: Heritage on Stage: 30 actors scattered throughout the village recount anecdotes from life in Grimaud during the Revolutionary era

➡ 9.00 pm: Complimentary ‘Bleu Blanc Rouge’ cocktail.

➡ 9.30 pm: Prize draw for the exhibitors’ raffle (every purchase at the market entitles you to a free raffle ticket – plenty of prizes to be won, donated by the craft market exhibitors)

➡ From 9.30 pm: Grimaud Guinguette with the group ‘Guinguette Chic’ from the Compagnie Artvivace: driven by gentle madness and positive energy, the artists of Guinguette Chic create an atmosphere that encourages everyone to join in and sweep people away in an original dance inspired by folk and musette dances. Participants of all ages become the diverse cast of a tailor-made ball. The event captures the poetry of traditional balls.

➡ From 9.30 pm: Guinguette de Grimaud with the group “Guinguette Chic” from the Compagnie Artvivace: driven by a touch of whimsy and positive energy, the artists of Guinguette Chic create an atmosphere that encourages everyone to join in and sweep the crowd away in an original dance inspired by folk and musette dances. Participants of all ages become the diverse cast of a tailor-made ball. The event captures the spirit of traditional folk dances.
On stage, the repertoire is brought to life by the musicians’ virtuoso playing. As they listen, the audience—whether seated, standing or dancing—creates their own space and becomes part of this extraordinary concert or ball, full of life and freedom.
