The illustration is framed by a medieval carved stone archway decorated with pirate motifs: skulls, crossed cutlasses, Jolly Roger flags, and navigational compasses set against aged parchment edges. The atmosphere is dark, stormy, and supernatural, dominated by deep teal, navy, and charcoal tones. In the foreground on the left, two children (a boy and a girl wearing backpacks) kneel on a cobblestone alley, placing a dark tentacled statuette into a stone niche that emits a ghostly turquoise glow. In the middle ground on the left stands the hilltop village of Gassin with its stone architecture and flat-topped bell tower. To the right, on a tempestuous sea, Kali’s pirate galleon battles sea monsters and giant tentacles rising from the waves. In the background, a cataclysmic stormy sky lit by lightning bolts is dominated by the colossal, shadowy winged silhouette of Cthulhu. At the top, the titles glow in spectral turquoise cursive script. On the mid-left hillside, yellow handwritten text details the event: departure from the tourist office, October 17 to November 8, free and self-guided, complimentary game booklet, reward for survivors. The bottom border features the logos of Gassin, the municipal coat of arms, the "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France" label, and the tourist office's full contact information.

The shadow of Cthulhu threatens Gassin and the world! Explore the village, escape monstrous traps, and complete the ritual to seal the black stone idol. A major Halloween family treasure hunt, free and self-guided.
Thanks to you, back in 1666, Cali the Skinner resumed her fierce battle against sea monsters. But today, 361 years later, an even more terrifying threat awakens from the depths under the influence of Cthulhu, the most dreadful of the Great Old Ones.

Off the coast, across a wild Gulf beneath an apocalyptic storm, the pirate leads a heroic fight. During a perilous boarding, she managed to wrench the sea creatures' most precious artifact from their grasp: a black stone statuette fallen from the stars, vital to deciding the fate of the world. She entrusts it to you: the idol must be neutralized and hidden before the cursed city of the abyss fully emerges from the sea.

A thrilling adventure in the heart of the old village

Armed with your game booklet, set out with your family through Gassin’s steep alleys, vaulted passages, and medieval ramparts to save the village and help Cali in her battle:

Gather the seven ancestral alchemical ingredients essential to completing the grand petrification ritual and stripping the relic of its powers.

Foil the traps and false trails: beware, some stops are decoys meant to slow you down!

Search every corner to crack secret codes hidden in the stone walls, fountains, and ancient doors.

Practical information

Audience: designed for families, children, and teenagers (self-guided). Two separate trails available (ages 4–7 and ages 8+).

Admission: free and open to all.

Starting point: pick up your game booklet at the Gassin Tourist Office (during opening hours throughout the autumn school holidays) or outside when the office is closed.
