Cogolin

Organized by the folk group L'Escandihado, this carnival takes place every three years in Cogolin, alternating with Sainte-Maxime and Saint-Tropez.
Folk dances performed by ensembles, songs in the Provençal language. Harlequins and jesters escort the Caramentran to the sound of fifes, drums, and galoubets, leading him to his trial and the carrying out of his sentence: to be burned in the public square!
