Lecture Musicale : Résistances

A musical reading by Elena Bosco and Irène Reva, Résistances is an audio and musical reading about the Resistance in the south of France, from its early beginnings in 1940 to the landings in August 1944. A question runs through the narrative: ‘What does it mean to resist? ‘

Two actresses narrate the story, alternating between reading, song and recorded speech. Suspense mingles with the ridiculous, the grotesque accompanies the tragic. ‘Faced with archive documents and narratives that may seem very remote to us today, we want to rediscover the human, the sensitive, the everyday, the universal and share it.
