Grimaud
From Monday 7 to Thursday 10 July 2025
Open all lundis, mardis, mercredis, jeudis to 21h30
Summer theatre festival in Grimaud. Now in its fifth year in Grimaud, the ‘Rire aux étoiles’ theatre festival is back under the gazebo in Place Neuve for four evenings of open-air fun, with three professional troupes for the whole family to enjoy. An irresistible festival!
- Monday 7 July: ‘Les Mauvaises Manières’ by the CRET troupe
A sort of Bourgeois Gentilhomme in reverse, this comedy takes us on a journey of laughter and fantasy. We follow the adventures of a couple of social misfits, penniless, miserable and uneducated, who are constantly tearing each other apart, suffering from being at the bottom of the social ladder. One evening, the wife has a surprising encounter that will change the course of her life as a couple, for better or worse, or vice versa.
Author : Véronique Siffredi
Cast: Maxime Poliakof, Louis Beltrame, Cécile de Kock
- Tuesday 8 July: ‘A table !’ by Théâtre du Grain de sable
Interactive improvised play
Also known as ‘Long Form’, this improvised play takes place in a restaurant, with the actors serving ‘the dishes’ according to the audience's menu choices. A real challenge for the actors, and a great moment of humour for the audience.
- Wednesday 9 July: ‘Mariés au premier ringard’ by JSBG Productions
A lively, contemporary and satirical comedy that questions - with great humour - our fascination with formatted love, compatibility tests and the (desperate?) quest for happiness at all costs.
This parody of reality TV transforms the sacred union into a comic battlefield of love clichés, delirious misunderstandings, wacky experts and crazy families.
- Thursday 10 July: ‘Ceci n'est pas un one man show’ directed by Ugo Strebel
Ugo Strebel brings you a biopic! His biopic!
The story of the most famous comedian in the world, who is now a shambles, a nobody, holed up at home and struggling to find the miracle formula that will give him the keys to success once again.
Performed in French.
Organised by the Culture and Heritage Department.
