Located in the city center on Place Victor Hugo across from the harbor, Le Café de France—a true Maximo institution since 1852—features an interior decorated with wood, brass, and mirrors.
Le Café de France offers a "bistronomic" dining concept that combines the warmth and relaxed atmosphere of a bistro with the fine dining experience of a restaurant, allowing guests to enjoy Mediterranean cuisine with contemporary flavors, while maintaining a commitment to high-quality, locally sourced ingredients.

To liven up the evenings and celebrate the changing seasons, Le Café de France hosts jazz evenings and offers a “Jazz@Table” series: Irakli, Luther, Daniel Sydney Bechet, Cécile Mc Lorrin, Tony Petrucciani, Kristin Marion, and Marc Lafferrière are just some of the artists who have performed on stage here for over 10 years. For your enjoyment, these musical events take place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
