Les Soirées de la Pesquière - La Guerre des Boutons

From July 2 to 5 at dusk, the town invites you to the 9th edition of the Soirées de la Pesquière for four free concerts on the waterfront, with danceable, nostalgic, lyrical and Latin atmospheres.

On the program: Monday July 2, "La guerre des boutons", a festive jazz ball by the Pulcinella company.

For almost 18 years, this mischievous group from Toulouse has never tired of doing what they want. Armed with drums, double bass, accordion and saxophone, they mix funk, jazz, Balkan music, electro, musette, progressive rock... to create a polymorphous music without borders.

With over 600 concerts to its credit, Pulcinella is a true live band. They have performed at prestigious festivals such as Jazz in Marciac, Festival Radio France, Rio Loco, Jazz sous les Pommiers, the London Jazz Festival, the Odessa Festival... He has criss-crossed the roads of some twenty countries, including Honduras, Guatemala, Bulgaria, Tajikistan, Moldavia, Colombia and even Vietnam, where he celebrated the 1,000th anniversary of the capital Hanoi!

In 2021, Pulcinella releases the album Grifone with Italian singer Maria Mazzotta, a repertoire that will be played on numerous dates in France and Europe (Jazz sous les pommiers, Jazz à Vienne, Unterfahrt...) The group creates the project La Guerre des boutons in the summer of 2022. For the occasion, the quartet becomes a quintet, with two accordionists.
