Saint-Tropez
From Saturday 6 June to Friday 31 July 2026
Une Maison à Saint-Tropez explores childhood memories through an immersive art and design exhibition in a Tropezian house. More than 20 artists present creations based on snacks, cabins, baths and bedtime stories.
Three boards and a sheet that become a tree house, candles planted in a colorful cake, a bathtub transformed into a miniature ocean or a lamp left on to ward off monsters: these are the simple images that make up childhood memories. For its fourth edition, the exhibition Une Maison à Saint-Tropez takes these familiar fragments and transposes them into the field of art and design. Housed in a 1789 house on the Place des Lices in Saint-Tropez, the exhibition brings together more than twenty artists and designers, who have been invited to create or adapt original pieces echoing four key moments: the hut, the snack, the bath and the evening story.
Every summer since 2023, gallery owner and interior designer Isabelle Castanier has been transforming this family home into an immersive exhibition. The works cohabit with everyday objects, in a natural dialogue with the architecture of the place, as if they had always existed there.
The 2026 edition brings together an international scene of established figures and emerging talents. India Mahdavi revisits the tea party through acid-colored furniture, while Axel Chay draws inspiration from childhood treasures to create a series in aluminum casting. Designer Kilzi imagines a bar in the shape of a flower, evoking memories of beach carts, while Marianna Ladreyt develops a reflection on the idea of "living under a parasol".
The tour follows the thread of a childhood day, from playing outside to falling asleep, inviting visitors to pass through spaces conceived as living scenes. The exhibition offers a sensitive experience, where memories take shape and find a new presence in the contemporary world.
