Grimaud Music Evenings - Laurent Fievet and Philippe Depetris
Grimaud Entertainment/recreation Concert
‘The art of dialogue and transcription from Vivaldi to J.S. Bach’
Friday 13 March between 6.30 pm and 8 pm.
Through the expressive power of their union, the flute and organ, animated by breath, establish a dialogue of obvious harmony and great musicality, playing on the complementarity of timbres, registers and dynamics.
In this programme, which highlights the influence of Italian music, particularly that of Vivaldi, on the compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach, organist Laurent Fievet, finalist in the Toulouse and Chartres international competitions and winner of the Wasquehal international competition -Saint-Omer competition, titular organist of the Notre-Dame Basilica in Nice and the Notre-Dame du Puy Cathedral in Grasse, will create a dialogue between the Quoirin organ of the Saint-Michel Church and the flute of Philippe Depetris, founding artistic director of the Soirées Musicales de Grimaud, who occupies a unique place in his career as a performer and man of culture. He is a key player in musical life and, more broadly, a bridge between works and audiences.
Organised by the Grimaud Tourist Office.
