Darkness has finally consumed the old stones of Gassin. Legend whispers that in the year of grace 1666, the village bells rang one last time to mark the fall of Captain Kali, the most feared and bloodthirsty pirate of the seas. As the sole survivor of the shattering shipwreck of her vessel, La Foudroyante, Kali managed to reach dry land, dragging an obsidian container behind her. No one suspected the horrors it held... until she met the icy gaze of the Black Astrologer. An unholy pact was sealed, an ancient curse spat out, and the Chest of Souls vanished into the void.

Three hundred and sixty years later, the seal is crumbling and hell is claiming its due. Spectral whispers echo from vaulted passages, apparitions glide along centuries-old facades, and the cursed blood of ancient inhabitants burns once more in their descendants. The chest is back, thirsty to capture new spirits.

Wander the dark alleys of Gassin and scrutinize every detail of its ancient heritage. Hunt for clues hidden in the shadows, solve fiendish riddles, and outsmart the traps set by the past. Piece together the secret fragments of the ritual and attempt to open the container... But beware: some wandering souls never left and will do anything to slow your progress.

Your macabre pilgrimage begins at the Gassin Tourist Office. Pick up your free adventure booklet if your legs aren't shaking yet, then step through the door of mysteries.
