United States. During the deliberations of a trial, 12 men are given the responsibility of judging a young man accused of parricide. While 11 of them are convinced of his guilt, one juror expresses doubts. A unanimous verdict is required. A life is in their hands. It's acquittal or the electric chair.
With palpable tension, we witness a judicial drama in which the intelligence, humanity and perseverance of one man will challenge the certainties and prejudices of the 11 other jurors, each inhabited and influenced by his own personal history.
