A word from Laurent Ruquier:
"That's it, she's on stage, my Mona Lisa! I say "my" when she's as much yours as mine, but she's been with me and even after me for so many years that I've made her my own! At least ten years ago, I'd started reading everything I could about this Italian lady, whom I didn't yet know that some people claimed was a man. I'd imagined a play in which Leonardo and his model would pose together, and then, like a painter who makes several sketches before his final painting, I'd left it all in a drawer...

Until the idea came up again two years ago. But this time, it was decided, she and only she was to be the star. After all, we'd never heard her speak, alone on stage. All that remained was to find "my" Mona Lisa. An actor? An actress? It was when I went to see the play Big Mother at the Théâtre des Béliers that I had the revelation. It would be Karina Marimon. She was my Mona Lisa, there was no doubt about it. With Rodolphe Sand directing, we're delighted to bring her to you. This is it, the Mona Lisa finally opens it.
