Grimaud
The Ecumenical Church of the lakeside town of Port-Grimaud features stained-glass windows created by Vasarely. François Spoerry, the architect who designed Port-Grimaud, wanted to give this site a real village feel, and decided to establish the church at the heart of the lakeside town.

Much of his inspiration came from the churches of Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in the Camargue.

The interior of the church is fairly sober. Victor Vasarely’s stained-glass windows depict the sun’s trajectory through the day.
Port-Grimaud’s creator now rests in his vault inside the church.

Climb the steps to the top of the church for a breathtaking view over Port-Grimaud, Grimaud and the bay of St Tropez.
