Ciné-spectacle Maquisards

As part of the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War (1945 - 2025), the Ville des Saint-Tropez invites you to the film show Maquisard, inspired by the logbook of Gleb Sivirine, alias Lieutenant Vallier. A unique account of the trying conditions of life in a maquis during the war. Maquisards brings to life the hopes, doubts and sacrifices of these young volunteers as they waited for D-Day.

Alternating theater and documentary film, this creation by the Artscenicum company plunges us into the daily life of a group of resistance fighters trained and organized clandestinely in the Haut-Var region, between February and August 1944.
Inspired by the diary of Gleb Sivirine, alias Lieutenant Vallier, a unique account of the trying conditions of life in a maquis during the war, Maquisards brings to life the hopes, doubts and sacrifices of these young volunteers as they waited for the Allied troops to land on our shores.

To create this film-show, young people from various local missions in the Var region play the roles of those who, at the same age as them, took to the woods in 1944. Alongside professional actors, they will take us on a journey in the footsteps of the Vallier Maquis, and pass on this story to future generations.
